Queen Soap is an homage to Freddie Mercury, and was entered in the Soap Challenge Club in 2019 for the inlay technique. Each soap features Freddy dressed in drag for the MTV music video of the song "I Want to Break Free" he made with Queen.
This music video was hugely controversial for its time and was even banned in the U.S. In it, Freddie and the rest of the Queen band members dress in drag and emulate bored housewives who want to break away from their mundane lives. Freddy opens the number pushing a vacuum cleaner and ends with a yellow feather duster. This soap set includes a mini soap vacuum to go along with your hand made soap. Each element of Freddie's outfit was hand carved and the entire loaf (10 slices) took over a week to finish.
