To make our Big Bang Shower Steamers we start with real menthol crystals and dissolve them in witch hazel. Next we use a mix of citric aid and baking soda, the basic ingredients for any bath bomb, so that the menthol can slowly fizz and dissolve. The combination of peppermint and eucalyptus essential oils, plus the powerful opening properties of menthol give you one Big Bang for your buck.

Every order of Shower Steamers will come with one organza bag. Place the steamer in the bag, then allow the water from your shower to activate it. You can keep the steamer on the shower floor, or hang it from the tub faucet, depending on how much vapor throw you desire. Although the real Big Bang was instantaneous, ours takes about 10 minutes to dissolve. If your shower time is shorter than that, or if you’ve gotten all the vapor you need for the day, simply pull the steamer, bag and all from the water. The puck will stop reacting once it’s no longer in the flow of water and can be used again for another shower.

Please do not use shower steamers in lieu of bath bombs. The addition of menthol makes them unsuitable for soaking and could seriously burn your jiggly bits. Wash hands after handling steamer, even if you’re getting straight into the shower. Menthol is a powerful additive and will easily transfer from your hands to other body parts. Ask me how I know.
